Soft link:

ln -s FULL_PATH_OF_SYMLINK_DESTINATION FULL_PATH_OF_SYMLINK

• Creating a hard link points the file at the inode of the target of the hard link.
• Hence, more block on the disk will not be taken up by additional data (other than metadata).
• Furthermore, if one file were to be deleted, the data would still be accessible using the other.
• Two files pointing at the same inode share the same metadata (obviously).
• ls -i can be used to view inodes.
